Vision Curved Singing Rock Carabiner
Opiniones :
Vision Curved Singing Rock Carabiner, small, strong, light, D-shaped, with curved trigger, for use with quickdraws, in meetings and self-belaying.
The Singing Rock Vision Curved carabiner is a small D-shaped carabiner (type B), made of hot forged anodized aluminum alloy, and with a curved wire trigger.
This carabiner is characterized by being the lightest wire trigger carabiner, which can be used on the toughest ascents.
Its design makes it ideal for use with security quickdraws, in meetings and self-belaying. This versatility is characteristic of type B carabiners, since its asymmetric shape favors the great resistance of the carabiner with the gate open. To prevent the carabiner from opening accidentally, there is a hook that locks the trigger in the closure.
The wire trigger gives the carabiner a number of advantages, such as lightness. This trigger is easier to clean, less prone to freezing or binding. It also causes less self-opening when the rope vibrates when arresting a fall or hitting rock. It is suitable for use as a lowering carabiner, because it eliminates the internal spring.
The straight trigger reduces the possibility of the carabiner coming off the plate, since it makes it difficult for the carabiner to open due to friction or movement. For this reason, carabiners with a straight trigger must be placed on top of the quickdraw. However, the carabiners that have the trigger with a very accentuated curvature make it easy for the rope to come off accidentally. Those with a curved trigger make it easier to plate, so they should be placed at the bottom of the express tape.
The opening of the diagonal side that opens is 19 mm (15 mm being the minimum allowed in type B carabiners).
This carabiner is strong as well as light, weighing only 33 grams.
With the closure open, it presents a resistance of 8 KN.
With the carabiner closed, it supports a load resistance of 25 KN in the upper part and 7 KN in the lower part.
