Carabiner D Colt Straight Wire Singing Rock
Opiniones :
Carabiner D Colt Singing Rock Straight Wire, resistant, light, D-shaped, ideal for use with quickdraws in classic / sport climbing and on ice.
The Singing Rock D Colt Straight Wire carabiner, has a D shape (type B), is made of hot forged aluminum alloy, and the trigger is straight and made of wire.
Its design makes it ideal for use with quickdraws, classic / sport climbing and ice climbing. It can also be used in assemblies, triangulations or anchor lines. This versatility is characteristic of type B carabiners, since their shape favors the great resistance of the carabiner with the gate open.
The wire trigger gives the carabiner a number of advantages, such as lightness. This trigger is easier to clean, less prone to freezing or binding. It also causes less self-opening when the rope vibrates when arresting a fall or hitting rock. It is suitable for use as a lowering carabiner, because it eliminates the internal spring.
The straight trigger reduces the possibility of the carabiner coming off the plate, since it makes it difficult for the carabiner to open due to friction or movement. For this reason, carabiners with a straight trigger must be placed on the top of the quickdraw, while carabiners with a curved trigger must be placed on the bottom.
The opening of the diagonal side that opens is 22 mm (15 mm being the minimum allowed in type B carabiners).
This carabiner is strong as well as light, weighing only 36 grams.
With the closure open, it presents a resistance of 11 KN.
With the carabiner closed, it supports a load resistance of 26 KN in the upper part and 8 KN in the lower part.
